Hi MMMC -- you tilt them and the picture changes. I think it's 'lenticular' or something... I've always loved them since I was a kid.

Can you still get these? My favourite is the welder. Why? I have no idea. It just appeals to me.
I ADORE these! I think we could spend happy hours going through each other's collection of toys! I have the cowboy one, but I can't remember where at the moment - it might be on a plastic ring. Were these all loose or attached to toys originally?
Oh I love these - have you seen the bookmarks you can get now (usually from pricey gift shops) with super vari-vue images?These retro ones are super, such stylized pictures.
