Not sure how long I should keep going with this... Is it getting too silly?

No! Keep it going! I love it. This particular collection's fab!

I love the painted birds - are they wood or tin? (I am beginning to wonder where you keep all these collections!)

Thanks both. Most of the birds in the picture are tin, apart from the largish green parrot which is wooden, and the ones with bright orange beaks in the foreground, which are ceramic. I'm sure I have more somewhere ... but a lot of my bits and pieces are stored in a six-foot high stack of big plastic boxes with lids and you need some strength to unstack them -- then there's the unpacking... All gets too much quite quickly!

Hi Jane, I think the birds aren't silly at all - my favorite so far. :)

No, Jane, keep going. Show us everything so we all know the full extent of your insanity.

Just so I've got an idea though, how many more collections do you have?!

Never, never, never silly. These are beautiful. I love anything mechanical or made of tinplate and the fact that they are birds is one big bonus. While you're enjoying it you carry on doing it! Lesley

Fantastic! I love tin plate toys. Is that little budgie plastic? Yep, I've got the blue one! She's sitting on the windowsill beside me as I type. I love budgies!

As Lesley says, as long as you're enjoying it, you might as well keep on doing it!
